Leading a Design Organization with Agents

We can say which agent work may ship, and who answers.

Leadership
US$300 once
Three courses

First drafts are already landing before critique is booked, and a browser tab is already bypassing the design system. You leave with one page a CEO can use: the job, the classes that may run, the gates, and who answers.

The three leadership courses are sold together for US$300. Designer membership does not include them, and this purchase does not open the designer courses.

Already in the building

The mess is already on the calendar.

A critique is booked for Thursday. The files arrived Tuesday: six screens, a teardown, and a prototype branch nobody briefed in that order. The queue did not grow because the team got worse. First drafts got cheap.

The design system has a contribution path. A browser tab does not use it. Someone generated a settings screen, shipped the plausible one, and left the system owner to find the drift next week.

A research note cites a persona who was never interviewed. It reads like a finding. It is a synthetic user. If nobody has written the line between desk research and evidence, that sentence will reach a roadmap.

The pages you leave with

What US$300 buys.

You pay once. You leave with pages from your own organisation. These are the pages this course produces.

This course is ≈3h 50m of reading, across 5 modules. Stop when the page you need is drafted.

01

The job, in one sentence

What the design organisation is for, with no vendor in the sentence: what is worth making, who may use which capability, and who answers for what ships.

02

An inventory of what already runs

Coding, design generation, video, spatial work, and computer use, including the browser tab a purchase order does not show.

03

A gate sheet for the four practices

What an agent may run, and what a person must stop, in research, product design, design engineering, and the system. The ninety-day sequence opens one of those gates first.

04

Ninety days, in order

An honest inventory, then one gate that has stopped something, then a permission rule. Not a tool mandate and not a new job title.

05

The operating-model page

Five blocks a CEO can read without the tools: the job, the classes in use, the gates, the owners, and how you will know.

The same payment opens the quality course — critique hours on a calendar, the system rule, the research line, questions for counsel, and the note you sign — and the CEO course: the three decisions and the ninety-day ask.

Why buy now

Why this quarter.

The volume of agent output is already here. A generic certificate will not name the design organisation's decisions on this page.

01

The queue is already longer than the critique calendar

Screens, variants, and prototype code are landing before a review is booked. A rule you write next quarter does not review this week's work.

02

A browser tab is already the operating model

Until someone names which class may run, the tab that bypassed the design system is the policy. Shadow use does not wait for a transformation program.

03

A certificate will not fill in your blanks

A general AI leadership program can teach adoption across a company, and it ends in a credential. It will not name which capability class may touch production in your design organisation on Monday.

Who it is for

A specific seat.

Design managers and heads of design in companies large enough to have separate research, UI, design engineering, and design-system practices. Executive partners can sit in. Practitioners should stay on the designer track.

This is for you if

  • You run research, product design, design engineering, and the design system, and the review queue is already longer than the week.
  • You need one page a CEO can read without learning the tools, and you are the person who has to write it.
  • An executive partner needs the same account, in the same words, before they fund a rollout.

This is not for you if

  • You want to learn prompting, critique craft, or how to drive a coding agent. That is the designer track, and this purchase does not open it.
  • You want a cohort, a faculty name to quote, or a certificate to post.
  • You want a tool recommendation. The page names classes and gates. It does not pick a vendor.
Each module is a result

After this module you can…

The promise under each title is what you can do in your own organisation. Opening a lesson requires the US$300 purchase. A designer membership does not open it.

01

The Design Org's Job

After this module you can say, in one sentence a CEO can repeat, what the design organisation is for: what is worth making, who may use which capability, and who answers for what ships.

02

Capability Classes, Not a Tool Stack

After this module you can sort what already runs into coding, design generation, video, spatial work, and computer use, and say which of those may touch production.

03

Research, Product, Engineering, System

After this module you can mark, for research, product design, design engineering, and the system, what an agent may run and what a person must stop, including that a synthetic user is not evidence.

04

Staffing and the Change You Lead

After this module you can put the next ninety days in order: an honest inventory, one gate that has stopped something, then a permission rule.

05

The Operating Model on One Page

After this module you can hand over one page: the job, the classes in use, the gates, the owners, and how you will know.

If the company pays

Buy the seat that writes the page.

Ask the company to pay the US$300 this quarter for the head of design's seat. What the company keeps is a page: the job, the classes already in use, the gates, the owners, and how you will know.

The volume is already in the building. Waiting a quarter does not pause the review queue or the browser tab. A general AI course can be good study for the team. It will not name these decisions, and a designer membership does not open this seat.

Finance and the CEO are the readers of the page. They are not the students. The student is the person who can write it.

A different product

A certificate names you. These pages name the decision.

A general executive AI program teaches leaders to plan adoption across a company. That is useful study, and it ends in a credential. This purchase tells a design organisation what to change on Monday.

QuestionThis purchaseA general certificate
Who it is forThe head of design, the design manager in that seat, or the executive who sponsors the function.Mid-to-senior leaders in any function who want a general AI adoption program.
What you leave holdingPages from your own organisation: an operating model, a governance note, and a ninety-day ask. No certificate is issued.A certificate of completion. An executive AI program may also offer continuing-education units, or a certificate for each course in a series.

What happens when you pay

What buyers say

Before the company pays

The lines below are the ones a head of design hears before anyone approves US$300.

01

We already pay for ChatGPT

A shared login is a receipt. The missing decision is which capability class may touch production, what a human still stops, and who answers when the work ships. Keep the tool. Write the page.

02

My designers can learn the tools themselves

They should. The designer track teaches that craft: briefing, prototyping, critique, research packets, the design system, coding agents. This purchase does not open those courses, and those courses do not decide which class may run or who signs the gate. Skill in the team does not name the owner.

03

I'll send the team to a general AI course

Send them if you want a company-wide adoption plan and a credential at the end. A general executive AI program is built for that. It does not write the page your design organisation will use on Monday: the classes, the gates, the quality bar, the ninety-day ask. Buy the certificate for the credential. Buy this for the page.

04

I don't have time for a 4-hour course

The two longer courses are each about four hours of reading, in modules of about forty-five minutes. The CEO course is about two hours. There is no live session and no week you have to clear. Read until the page you need this quarter is drafted, and stop.

05

We already pay for designer membership

That payment opens the designer-track courses. It does not open these three. This US$300 payment does not start a membership and does not open the designer track. The craft and the decisions are different work, so they are different products.

06

Do we pay US$300 three times?

No. One payment of US$300 opens all three: the operating model, the quality bar, and the short course for the CEO.

07

I need a certificate to show my manager

You will not get one here. What you can hand over is a page from your own organisation: the operating model, the governance note, or the ninety-day ask. If the manager needs a credential from a general program, buy that program. If the manager needs the decision named, buy this.

08

This is an engineering problem

Coding agents are one class of capability. Critique capacity, the design system those agents follow, and whether a synthetic user counts as evidence are decisions the design organisation owns. Engineering cannot sign them for you.

09

Will this teach my team to prompt?

No. Prompting and the rest of the craft stay on the designer track. This course tells you what those practices may run, and what a person must still stop.
